We invite you to the Emerging Earth Room at TEDx Chiang Mai 2025. Through talks, workshops, and experiences, we explore collective action for a regenerative Chiang Mai.
Through a intentionally curated space that engages all five senses—and calls forth our “sixth sense”—we invite guests to pause, feel, and re-connect. Listen to the ancient stories that rice tell us, get hands on with biomimicry as a bridge between science and sacred, imagine regenerative future(s), join the eco-nomad movement, and immerse yourself in the soundscapes of biodiversity.
In the Emerging Earth space you will meet Karen youth “elders”, eco-villages, designers, artists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and more. In the spirit of reciprocity, we invite you to to share their own visions and inspirations for a regenerative future. Together we better understand the roots of our planetary crises — climate , health, food, technology, and more, and plant seeds for a regenerative world.
The Emerging Earth Room will be located on the ground floor at TEDx Chiang Mai and requires a conference ticket to join. However after 1:30 pm the room will be open to the public free of cost.

Many Ways of Knowing: A Biomimicry Journey from Biology to Design
Sirikhanate “moowan” Sakulyong
This workshop invites participants to explore biomimicry as a bridge between science, art, and philosophy—a way of learning from life through many lenses. Through a guided, hands-on brainstorming session, participants will translate biological strategies into design ideas while also reflecting on the diverse ways humans relate to nature: analytically, creatively, and spiritually. By weaving together observation, imagination, and moral inquiry, the session nurtures a shift from problem-solving to pattern-seeking, revealing how innovation can emerge from deeper dialogue with the living world.
